At ZF, we develop concepts and ideas for Next Generation Mobility. ZF is a global technology group and supplies systems for passenger car, commercial vehicle, and industrial technology mobility. ZF enables vehicles to see, think, and act: in the four technology fields of Vehicle Motion Control, integrated safety, automated driving, and electromobility, ZF offers comprehensive product and software solutions for established vehicle manufacturers as well as for emerging providers of transport and mobility services.
ZF is represented by more than 150,000 employees at around 270 locations in 42 countries. Around 9,000 employees work in Schweinfurt. In 2020, ZF achieved sales of 32.6 billion euros. The electrification of the drivetrain is a key lever for ZF to contribute to reducing CO2 emissions in road traffic and protecting the climate. ZF offers hybrid modules, plug-in hybrid transmissions, and electric drives for electric vehicles, including power electronics and system integration.
Schweinfurt plays an important role within the ZF Group in the field of electromobility. As early as 2008, the first series production in Europe of electric motors for hybrid vehicles began here. Finally, in 2019, the first series application of a fully integrated electric axle drive for a German premium manufacturer started in Schweinfurt.
Peak performance in plastics
Our goal is to drive “peak performance in plastics” (including in the construction, automotive, and electrical industries) and to network experts worldwide. Engineers, physicists, chemists, technicians, and physics laboratory assistants with plastics expertise are in demand here. In particular, university or technical college graduates in the field of plastics technology can develop into instructors, seminar speakers, examiners, certifiers, or researchers and collaborate on projects.

Einen Blick in die Historie bietet ein Besuch der Sachs-Ausstellung der ZF Friedrichshafen AG. Sie macht die Entwicklung der Marke Sachs und die Geschichte des Unternehmens Fichtel & Sachs für jeden erlebbar. Zahlreiche Exponate und interaktive Computerbildschirme sorgen für eine interessante Reise durch die bewegte Unternehmensgeschichte.

Fertigung Elektromobilität
In der 40 Jahre alten Fabrikhalle, in der früher Kupplungen und Stoßdämpfer produziert wurden, werden heute elektrische Achsantriebe auf modernsten Stand montiert. 25 Millionen haben wir in die Modernisierung des Standorts investiert und fertigen hier aus über 200 Bauteilen Achsantriebe für Hybrid- und E-Motoren.

Eine Berufsausbildung bei uns ist in acht und das Duale Studium in sechs unterschiedlichen Fachrichtungen möglich.
