Securing Skilled Professionals Needs New Approaches \u2013 and above all, New Perspectives<\/h3>\n

Under the theme “Impulses for a Resilient HR Strategy as an Alternative to Staff Reduction,” the 9th Mainfranken Skilled Professionals Conference brought together around 60 experts from business, education, and politics at the IHK W\u00fcrzburg-Schweinfurt in Schweinfurt.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Together, they discussed how companies can actively shape change, further develop employees, and retain skilled professionals long-term. The conference was once again organized by the Mainfranken Alliance for Skilled Professionals. <\/p>\n

Dr. Lukas Kagerbauer, Deputy Managing Director of the IHK W\u00fcrzburg-Schweinfurt, emphasized the importance of networking at the opening of the event to strengthen rural regions in particular long-term and make them future-proof. “Securing skilled professionals is a collective task \u2013 it only succeeds when business, educational institutions, and politics work together,” emphasized Bettina Gardenne, Managing Director of Region Mainfranken GmbH. <\/p>\n

Practical insights demonstrated how companies can actively shape change:
\nCarolin R\u00fctzel, People & Organization Department at Siemens in Bad Neustadt an der Saale, and Sophia Martin, Deputy Chairwoman of the Works Council at the site, presented the transformation strategy developed in cooperation between company management and employee representatives to proactively prepare employees for the qualification needs of tomorrow.<\/p>\n

Stefan Beil, Managing Director of the Federal Employment Agency, and Alina Valentin, Team Leader for Career Counseling for Working Professionals, presented ways in which employers can further develop their employees with targeted financial support and retrain skilled professionals within the company. Diana Reuter, Master Electrician at SCHEBA Elektromaschinenbau GmbH, provided a practical insight, reporting on the hiring of a skilled professional who could only be recruited for the company through a subsidized retraining program. <\/p>\n

Under the title “Retraining Instead of Loss: The Agile Transformation Path,” Volker Peter from VS Smarte Prozesse presented how companies can actively support transformation phases and engage employees for new approaches \u2013 e.g., in dealing with AI.<\/p>\n

In the second part of the conference, practice-oriented workshops offered the opportunity to delve deeper into topics and exchange ideas with others. Topics included Employer Branding, flexible working time models, and leveraging hidden employee competencies. <\/p>\n

Between and after the presentations, participants took the opportunity to network and learn about qualification and further training opportunities.<\/p>\n

Thus, the 9th Mainfranken Skilled Professionals Conference once again became a vibrant forum for exchange between business, education, and politics \u2013 and an important contribution to securing skilled professionals in the region and opening up new perspectives.<\/p>\n
