Nursing Under the Sign of the Red Cross

The Würzburg Red Cross Clinic belongs to the hospital network of the Munich Sisterhood of the Bavarian Red Cross e.V..
The origin of the Munich Sisterhood of the BRC e.V. lies in nursing care. To this day, the Red Cross Clinic places particular emphasis on personal and caring nursing. We base our approach on the scientific nursing model of Dorothea Orem.

Supporting patients with illness-related deficits and providing assistance in all activities of daily living plays a major role. At the same time, we strive to promote and largely maintain our patients’ independence. In our work, we always consider the individual physical, psychological, and social needs of each patient.

Location

The Red Cross Clinic is located in the city center – in immediate proximity to the world-famous Würzburg Residence and the adjacent Court Garden. Despite its downtown location, the clinic is quiet. This tranquility extends to the idyllic inner courtyard, which is accessible to all patients. Architecturally, the Red Cross Clinic is considered a true gem. The old part of the building, a former city palace, was the first representative residential house built by Baroque master builder Balthasar Neumann.

Working at the Red Cross Clinic

Not only patients but also employees appreciate the family atmosphere at Würzburg’s Kapuzinerstraße. They also benefit from the advantages of the network of four state-of-the-art clinics of the Munich Sisterhood. The sisterhood’s own Interdisciplinary Continuing Education and Training (IDF) promotes professional and personal development through a wide range of continuing education opportunities. The Red Cross Clinic trains the next generation of nurses together with the two neighboring vocational schools for nursing and nursing assistance in Würzburg. Tariff-bound remuneration with employer-financed pension provisions, a wide range of occupational health offers, and housing options are just as self-evident at the Red Cross Clinic Würzburg as numerous other German Red Cross employee benefits. International applicants are also warmly welcome.
