The Diakonisches Werk Würzburg e.V. embodies social action in the spirit of Christian faith with a Protestant character. It is particularly committed to ensuring that people in difficult life situations receive concrete help and do not have to stand on the fringes of society. Diakonie has facilities and services for all situations in life: ranging from pregnancy conflict counseling to all child and youth welfare institutions, from counseling services for adults in conflict or emergency situations, with or without a migration background or psychosocial support needs, to outpatient care services and inpatient homes for the elderly and nursing homes. Diakonie is closely networked with other leading associations of independent welfare organizations.
