The Center for Telemedicine Bad Kissingen (ZTM) develops and installs telemedicine systems. These systems serve to better connect the various actors in the healthcare sector. These can be doctors, hospitals, patients, therapists, emergency services, and many more. They all benefit from improved communication with each other through telemedicine. For this purpose, video communication systems, apps, platforms for exchange, or even special sensors are used.

Our mission is the widespread use of telemedicine to improve patient care. In the model region of Rhön, ZTM collaborates with various actors from medicine, nursing, and technology. Here, telemedicine innovations are tested and brought to product maturity for transfer to other regions. Over 40 employees at 4 locations (Bad Kissingen, Würzburg, Karlsruhe, Berlin) are dedicated to offering patients the best possible medicine and care from our healthcare system.

Our experts in medicine, technology, and computer science are constantly working on innovative advancements. ZTM accompanies numerous research projects and supports them as a partner. Our systems are now in use throughout Germany and beyond national borders. As a result, we can access a large network of diverse partners.

In addition to activities in IT, software development, research development, and sales, the Center for Telemedicine also offers professional opportunities in public relations and administration.

Students who would like to gain practical experience through an internship or as working students are warmly welcome. We are also happy to supervise them in their final theses (Bachelor’s and Master’s). We also gladly accompany apprentices in their new professional challenge.
