One Tour – Two Companies

Employers from the City and District of Würzburg impressed at the 18th CAREER Tour Mainfranken

For several years, Region Mainfranken GmbH has been organizing CAREER Tours for students from universities in Mainfranken. These free, one-day bus trips to leading top employers in the region aim to support students in their career planning. Participants gain practical insights into the corporate culture, products, and processes of regional companies. They are shown concrete career and entry opportunities. For employers, the tours offer a valuable opportunity to directly recruit talented young professionals.

Last Thursday, April 18, 2024, about 20 students had the opportunity to visit two top employers from the city and district of Würzburg as part of a CAREER Tour. The university locations in Würzburg and Schweinfurt are approached by bus. Students can board at their convenience.

The first stop was at rockenstein AG in Veitshöchheim, an Internet service provider that offers its customers individual and powerful IT solutions around the Internet. After an introduction, the students were able to explore the modern offices. The tour ended at Sparkasse Mainfranken in Würzburg, which, with 93 branches and about 1,400 employees, is one of the largest employers and training companies in the region. A company tour and presentation were also offered at Sparkasse Mainfranken.

After the visits, there was time for personal conversations over coffee and cake, where participants could exchange ideas and network with HR representatives from both Mainfranken companies. “The CAREER Tours are an excellent opportunity to get to know the companies in Mainfranken and decide whether they match one’s own ideas,” commented one student.

The implementation of the CAREER Tours is carried out in cooperation with the Julius-Maximilians-University of Würzburg and the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS).
