The Hospital for Psychiatry, Psychotherapy and Psychosomatic Medicine is located in Werneck.
The hospital has 290 inpatient beds in the acute care area, a forensic department with 59 beds, 20 day clinic places in Schweinfurt, as well as two psychiatric outpatient clinics in Werneck and Schweinfurt.
The hospital aims to provide optimal treatment and assistance for people with mental illnesses using the full range of modern psychiatric and psychotherapeutic treatment methods.

Comprehensive Training Opportunities
At our specialist clinic, in the medical field, training opportunities can be completed for four years in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy (full training authorization), three years in Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy (full training authorization), half a year in Neurology, and half a year in Internal Medicine.
The psychotherapy modules can be acquired internally or their financing is covered. Additionally, the requirements for the additional designation “Clinical Geriatrics” and “Forensic Psychiatry” (24 months) can be acquired. Psychologists in training to become Psychological Psychotherapists also have the opportunity to complete their practical work with us.
For students of Social Work, there is the opportunity to complete the practical study semesters required by the University of Applied Sciences.
On campus, there is also a Vocational School for Nursing, where an annual training course takes place, thus ensuring the recruitment of skilled professionals from within our own ranks.
Additionally, the hospital administration offers an in-house training center for “psychiatric nursing”.
