More InformationTOP REGIONAL HOSPITAL – this distinction was awarded to Leopoldina Hospital (often referred to as LEO for short) at the end of 2019 by FOCUS-GESUNDHEIT magazine. With this, LEO has made it onto the FOCUS-GESUNDHEIT hospital list for 2020 and is among the top clinics in Germany.
With 700 planned beds, Leopoldina Hospital is among the hospitals providing specialized care. Around 65,000 patients are treated there annually as inpatients and outpatients – in currently 20 clinics and departments as well as affiliated departments of external partners. To ensure optimal medical care, more than 2,000 employees, including over 200 doctors and 900 nursing staff, are on duty. 365 days a year, around the clock.
As a modern specialized hospital, LEO offers comprehensive medical treatment according to the latest scientific and technological standards. The most advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures are used here, ensuring that patients with complex medical conditions can also receive optimal care.
Medical care at LEO is primarily provided to citizens from the city of Schweinfurt, the district of Schweinfurt, and the surrounding areas of northern Lower Franconia.
