Almost everyone has held a table tennis paddle at some point – whether on the playground, in school sports, or on holiday. But did you know that table tennis professionals like Hugo Calderano play with incredible spin rates and top speeds of up to 150 km/h? In addition to a lot of training and skill, this requires the optimal paddle rubber – and we produce exactly that for over 60% of organized table tennis players worldwide. In Hofheim, as the world market leader, we at ESN develop and produce innovative premium table tennis rubbers for nearly all major brands, making us a true ‘Hidden Champion’ of the Mainfranken regiopolitan region.

Since our founding in 1991, we have combined table tennis and technology expertise at the highest level. Many of our 290 employees are former or still active players who shape the future of table tennis with their know-how and a lot of passion. As part of the ESN Technology Group, we are particularly proud of our talent forge ‘ACE ESN SPORTS’ and the innovative subsidiary ‘SPINSIGHT ESN Digital’, with which we have introduced the digital dimension in table tennis. Our self-developed ‘Spinsight’ app and the associated ‘Elite’ system enable digital real-time measurements for the first time. This allows table tennis players to analyze the parameters of each stroke down to the smallest detail and thus take their training to a new level.

However, we don’t just want to be innovation leaders in table tennis, but also pioneers in terms of sustainability: As a ‘Common Good Economy’ certified company, we are committed to an ethical economic culture where the well-being of people and the environment is the top priority – starting with the use of fair trade natural rubber for our rubbers, through the development of innovative packaging concepts made from recycled materials, to our big goal of making our end products recyclable as well. Of course, we also take sustainable approaches in terms of energy and mobility: Since 2019, our employees have had access to free e-charging stations, which were initially powered by green electricity. Since last year, we have even been generating our own electricity via a PV system.
