At EyeAble, digital participation begins not just with the product, but in the entire thinking and action. With innovative AI solutions, accessible software, and practical workshops, a digital world is created here that is accessible to everyone. Inclusion also plays a central role internally – with flexible work models and modern structures. Technology thus becomes a tool for true equal opportunities. Experience for yourself how digital accessibility becomes an attitude – and the future.

To the recruited professional: Gino Utz

Gino Utz: I was particularly positively surprised by the company’s clear vision and the speed of the entire application process. Everything proceeded very quickly and transparently from the first conversation to the final decision, which left an extremely positive impression on me. I also made my decision quickly: There were two companies to choose from, but ultimately Eye-Able’s vision of promoting digital accessibility convinced me. Especially considering my personal situation, as I am blind, it was very important to me to work in a company that is dedicated to this important topic.

The deciding factor for me was above all the possibility to work flexibly from home if I want to. Since my commute is a bit longer – I don’t live directly in Würzburg – this flexibility is particularly important to me. Moreover, I was convinced by the overall work environment that I was able to experience during the application process. I was particularly impressed by the openness to accommodate individual wishes of colleagues. A nice example is that two employees are allowed to bring their dogs to the office: a small one and a slightly larger one. I find the animals to be a real enrichment to the work atmosphere.

I was warmly welcomed from day one. Right from the start, I was asked what work tools I needed to make my entry as easy as possible. As far as possible, all my wishes were fulfilled: The entire computer equipment was available as discussed, including a Braille display, which I need as a completely blind person, as well as a height-adjustable desk. I particularly appreciate the collegial interaction within the team – all colleagues are very helpful, which has additionally facilitated my integration.

What I particularly appreciate about my employer is the dynamism and the tangible growth. When I started here in 2023, the team was still quite manageable, and I was able to experience how the company has developed. Especially during our bi-annual company celebrations, it becomes clear how much we are growing – each time we become bigger and more grandiose. For the future, I hope that we continue to grow, because with our work in the field of accessibility and inclusion, we are advancing an enormously important social topic.

My advice to companies actively seeking to recruit professionals is to be open to new concepts and possibilities. In our fast-paced times, it is crucial to be open to new developments such as Artificial Intelligence. It is equally important to consider individual wishes of employees – such as the possibility to bring pets to the office or to work flexibly from home. This flexibility and openness make companies more attractive and create a pleasant working environment.

According to plan, I am officially allowed to retire on May 16, 2051. It is very important to me to pass on my knowledge to younger colleagues – regardless of when I retire. Later, I would like to retire at around 70 to 75 years old and go traveling – full of energy, similar to our former Pope. My goal is to maintain this zest for life and vigor well into old age.
