New “Company Slam” Format Celebrates Successful Debut at THWS Schweinfurt

Students Met Bosch Rexroth, Fresenius Medical Care, and Knauf in Direct Dialogue

As part of the “International Talents” campaign weeks, a new event format premiered last Friday at the Technical University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (THWS) in Schweinfurt: At the “Company Slam,” students had the opportunity for the first time to ask their questions about career entry, career paths, and application processes directly to regional companies.

The collaborative event was organized jointly by Region Mainfranken GmbH, the City of Schweinfurt, and the District of Schweinfurt. Bosch Rexroth, Fresenius Medical Care, and Knauf participated as corporate partners. Following the open Q session, students were able to visit the companies directly at their booths during a “mini trade fair” and continue their conversations in a personal atmosphere. In addition, THWS also presented its services and support offerings for students.

“The great response to the new format shows that students need low-barrier opportunities to connect with companies from Mainfranken. We would like to retain students in our region – it’s all the better if they can establish connections to the local economy while still studying.” – Maximilian Heil, Project Manager at Region Mainfranken GmbH.

The “Company Slam” format will be further developed and established on an ongoing basis in the future.
