22nd career.talk in Mainfranken: Students in direct dialogue with WVV and the District Office

Around 40 students took part in the latest career.talk hosted by Region Mainfranken GmbH and used the opportunity to engage directly with regional employers. The focus was in particular on Würzburger Versorgungs- und Verkehrs-GmbH (WVV) and the Würzburg District Office, which provided a wide range of insights into their fields of work and career paths.

WVV presented itself as a modern municipal employer with a broad spectrum of professional opportunities—from technical and commercial positions to topics related to energy, mobility, and infrastructure. The students showed great interest in the diverse entry opportunities and development prospects within the company.

The Würzburg District Office also attracted considerable interest. As a public sector employer, it offers secure and meaningful positions in a wide variety of areas—from administration and social services to environmental and regional development. Participants particularly highlighted the social value of the work as an important factor.

The event format enabled personal and open exchange on equal footing. In small discussion groups, individual questions could be clarified and initial contacts established—for internships, working student positions, or future career entry.

“The Career Talk shows how important direct contact between students and regional employers is. Formats like this make an important contribution to securing skilled workers in Mainfranken,” said Region Mainfranken GmbH.

With this event series, Region Mainfranken GmbH pursues the goal of showing students concrete prospects in the region and connecting companies early on with potential young talent.

Next up is another career.tour.
